When teachers want to support classroom climate with peer mediation even if they do not have a program in their school, they can teach and guide practice using literature. Once the students have identified the essence of the conflict, the ‘Mediators of the Day' can mediate with classmates who take on the roles of characters in conflict. When peer mediation becomes a way to enjoy literature, the study of character motivation and relationship repair are equally important and students have enjoyable lessons for life.
